Developer / Leader / Visionary
I’m a software engineer and I lead teams.
Officially, my job is to shepherd teams to develop solid features that delight hiring managers. But I have a soft spot in my heart for job seekers everywhere.
I spent 13 years building software to secure and protect sensitive data for the United States. I graduated from the government with a degree in turning the titanic, and another one in the kind of small talk where you don’t realize I haven’t answered any of your questions about sensitive information.
Which really means: I know a lot about hiring, many things about serious security (which I can’t tell you because I’d have to kill you),, and absolutely nothing about area 51.
I delight in change and growth and the craftsmanship of fine software. I’m passionate about hard problems and high functioning teams driven by continuous improvement. Oh, and running... I'm passionate about running.

Professional
I get excited about continuous improvement, writing beautiful code, technical growth as an independent contributor, and growing others as a leader.
I’m a senior software engineer and team lead at Lever - connecting human potential with meaningful work. In my previous life I spent 13 years at the Federal Government in Washington, DC.
Most recently I've been building full stack features in Javascript (Coffeescript), on top of Node, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch. I've spent my career choosing and learning the right technologies to solve the problem at hand - from C# to C++ to shell scripting.
